कुदरत ने हम सभी मनुष्यों को शारीरिक बनावट, रंग-रूप व आहार के आधार पर एक जैसा ही बनाया हैं, इसके बावजूद भी हम मनुष्योंने खुदको जात-पात के आधार पर इस कदर बाँट दिया हैं की आज समस्त संसार इस एक बात के कारण जैसे कई टुकडो में बंट गया हैं । जी हाँ ! गौर से यदि सोचा जाएँ तो क्या इश्वर ने कभी यह कहा हैं की तुम हिन्दू, तुम मुसलमान, तूम इसाई या तुम सिख हो .. कहा हैं कभी ? इसका स्पष्ट उत्तर हैं ‘कभी भी नहीं ’ । अब,जब बनानेवाले ने हममे कोई भेदभाव नहीं रखा, तो फिर हमने क्यों खुदको जातियों के आधार पर बाँट दिया ? यदि एक शीशी में हिंदू का खून लिया जाये, दूसरी में किसी मुस्लिम का और वह दुनिया की किसी भी पैथोलोजी लैब में जाँच के लिए भेजा जाये, तो क्या कोई बता पायेगा कि यह खून हिंदू का और वह मुस्लिम का है? यहाँ मेडिकल साइंस भी फेल है क्योंकि प्रकृति ने सभी इंसानों में एक जैसा ही खून बनाया है, तो भला जाति के आधार पर उस

Thus, the phrase has been used in a number of Articles and clauses or sub-clauses in the Indian Constitution and also in other statutory laws. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the U.N. General Assembly in 1948 also has used this phrase with addition of words like property, birth, national origin and distinction of any kind.
